Starehe students excel and earn university admission, but many struggle to begin their studies because the HELB loan—often their only source of support—arrives weeks or months late. This delay leaves them unable to pay for early-semester essentials like tuition deposits, accommodation, meals, transport, and books.

To close this financial gap, the Starehe Foundation is launching the Bridge Fund Initiative in 2026. The fund will support graduates through their first semester, ensuring they can start university on time and with dignity.

As costs rise and economic challenges deepen, this assistance is more important than ever. The Bridge Fund continues Starehe’s mission of care and opportunity—helping students transition smoothly from high school to higher education.

We invite alumni, partners, and friends to stand in the gap and support this vital new initiative.
