About

The Starehe Foundation was founded in 2015 to help promising youth in Kenya by funding the cost of attendance at Starehe Boys and Starehe Girls centers. Youth attend the Schools for four years and the Starehe Foundation seeks financial and in-kind support to enable them complete their high school education.

The Starehe Foundation is a non-profit organization that is tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.


Distinguished alumni of the Starehe institutions based in the US manage the Starehe Foundation.


Management Team




Clement Nganga, CPA 

President and CEO 

Clement is the owner of AccounTax Associates LLC based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Clement is responsible for providing effective leadership by working with the management team to establish short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies. 

Renalto Muturi 

Executive Director 

Renalto is a partner at Fleet Automotive LLC and founding owner of Fleet Merchants LLC based in Minneapolis Minnesota. Renalto is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with a variety of key stakeholders to the Foundation. He is passionate about improving and building the community. He is a strong proponent of youth mentorship and believes education is a core component to achieving that goal. Providing that resource to the less fortunate is his life mission. 

David Okech, PhD 

Fundraising Director 

David is a Professor at the School of Social Work, University of Georgia. David is responsible for the development and execution of the Foundation’s fundraising strategy. 


Anthony Ndekere (Tony) 

Director of Finance 

Tony is the owner of Kenwan Tax an Accounting LLC based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Anthony is responsible for all Accounting and Finance matters.


Charles Wanjohi, Esq 

Company Secretary & Privacy Officer 

Charles is a founding partner, Attorney and Counselor at Law with Wanjohi & Muli Law Firm PPLC based in Raleigh North Carolina. Charles is responsible for all legal and privacy matters.
